This toolkit was designed in a coalition space and was created to inform and equip state legislators living in states that have enacted laws that attempt to require students to view medically inaccurate, anti-abortion propaganda as part of public school sex or health education. These laws – known as “fetal development laws” or “Baby Olivia” – are the anti-abortion movement's strategy to indoctrinate youth with the harmful concept of fetal personhood. Defining personhood from the moment of conception allows for the criminalization of pregnancy outcomes, and undermines bodily autonomy and the right to abortion care.

SiX Repro's Rapid Response Room featured guest speaker Kimberly Diaz Scott, MPA from the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association (NFPRHA). This phenomenal talk highlighted the history of decimating family planning programs, the subsequent resilience to meet rising need with shrinking resources, and the devastating impact and lingering uncertainty of the current attacks. She warned legislators that the same tactics that have been used to target abortion care are being repurposed to target contraception, STI services, and gender-affirming care. She concluded by encouraging lawmakers to champion specific policies to expand and protect access to family planning.

SiX Repro's Rapid Response Room featured guest speaker MiQuel Davies, JD, BSW from the National Network of Abortion Funds. As an introduction to abortion funds, she explained that by design, these community organizations serve people facing the most barriers to care. She went on to detail the herculean effort to meet the ever increasing need as many funds face an influx of out-of-state requests for support and are forced to close their helplines several days each month due to lack of funds. She concluded by encouraging lawmakers to boldly legislate to provide resources to abortion funds and end discriminatory insurance practices.
