Sex Ed for All Month 2021

SiX is proud to partner on this year’s Sex Ed For All Month as a member of the Sex Education Collaborative—representing 24 national, regional, and state-based organizations with extensive experience training educators to deliver school-based sex education.

All young people—including communities of color, LGBTQ young people, immigrants, those with lower incomes, those living in rural areas, those with disabilities, and systems-involved youth—need equitable access to sex education.

Join the Sex Education Collaborative on May 21, 2-3pm EST / 11am-12pm PST for a multi-state panel of state legislators and sex education experts on current efforts to advance equitable sex education in the states. State legislators and legislative staff, click here to RSVP.

Social media messages:

#SexEdForAll means equity and access for all. All young people have a right to be equipped with the education, information, and skills they need to make informed decisions for themselves about sex and relationships.

The quality of your sex education shouldn’t be based on your zip code.  #SexEdForAll Month calls for comprehensive reform and tangible resources for all young people, no matter where they live.

Only 30 states and the District of Columbia mandate sex education—with no guarantee that it’s medically accurate, age-appropriate, or unbiased. We can do better. We have to do better. #SexEdForAll https://www.guttmacher.org/state-policy/explore/sex-and-hiv-education
